The French niche fragrance brand Les Eaux Primordiales raised €‎5 million off a year of record results to fuel international expansion.

WHO: Founded by Arnaud Poulain in 2015, Les Eaux Primordiales is built on the foundations of traditional perfumery. The brand is vertically integrated, relying on its own production with manufacturing set up on a 14-hectare estate renamed Domaine Primordia.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: "The company was able to grow quickly and smoothly thanks to renewed financial strength reinforced by a capital increase of €‎5 million conducted with its historical partners," Les Eaux Primordiales said in a statement.

DETAILS:

  • Les Eaux Primordiales raised €‎5 million in fresh capital from Francis-Charles Pollet, founder of the Promod group, Thierry Letartre, owner of Laboratoires Anios, as well as Edouard Herbo, founder of the family office Keepers.
  • According to Pitchbook, the business has raised a total of $3.53 million from three investors. 
  • The brand claims to have grown by more than 130% for the third consecutive year, driven by the success of several best sellers and international commercial developments.
  • The brand plans to launch a new collection, optimize production lines, and launch in the US and Chinese markets in 2023.
